Based on the beloved, timeless film, this classic show centers around veterans Bob Wallace and Phil Davis who have a successful song-and-dance act after World War II. With romance in mind, the two follow a duo of beautiful singing sisters en route to their Christmas show at a Vermont lodge, which just happens to be owned by Bob and Phil’s former army commander. This heartwarming musical adaptation features many of Irving Berlin’s well known standards including Blue Skies, I Love A Piano, How Deep Is the Ocean and the perennial favorite, White Christmas. In this classic musical by Stephen Sondheim, the world of fairy tales is fractured in a powerful and tuneful way. When a baker and his wife learn they have been cursed by the witch next door, they embark on a quest to break the spell by swindling, lying to, and stealing from Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel and Jack (the one who climbed the beanstalk). However, what begins a lively irreverent fantasy becomes a moving lesson about community responsibility and the stories we tell our children when the characters are forced to face the consequences of their actions.
