Katrya Oransky-Petyk (Madam Armfeldt)  makes her show debut on the Narberth Community Theater stage after performing in all four of Narberth’s Cabarets. Katrya started her theater career at the now defunct Riverfront and City Line Dinner theaters, having spent the last 40 odd years in regional and dinner theaters and more recently on stage at local community theaters.  Over the years you may have seen her as Rizzo in “Grease” (Bucks County Playhouse), The Witch in “Into the Woods” (Facetime Theater), Mrs. Molloy in “Hello Dolly” (City Line Dinner Theater), Julie in “Carousel” (St. John’s Players) and Eva Peron in “Evita” (Berea Summer Theater). This is her second time delving into this Stephen Sondheim masterpiece. Some eighteen Katrya played Charlotte in Cleveland at Kalliope Stage directed by her friend and mentor Paul Gurgol to whom she dedicates this performance.  Like the character of Madame Armfeldt that she portrays this time around in “A Little Night Music”, Katrya has “outlived her illusions by centuries!”
