Narberth Community Theatre (NCT) is a not-for-profit theater company of actors, musicians, and backstage personnel of all ages. We hope you’ll join us soon–on stage or in the audience.
Message from the President
Narberth Community Theatre was founded in 1959 by a group of dedicated parents who served on the Narberth PTA. The parents would put on a show called The PTA Follies, and as time went on, these parents decided to start a theater. There were 6-7 charter members; all of whom are deceased with the exception of Bill Gray who still resides in Narberth. And so began the history and legacy of Narberth Community Theatre.
As I look forward to our 60th season one word keeps resonating and that is community. NCT relies on the community to put on a production much like the PTA did. The productions involve directors, actors, musicians, designers, stage crew volunteers, and house managers. They spend countless hours dedicating their time and passions to help bring our shows to life. They are the heart of our organization and their love for the arts goes into every production. They become a “family”. We cannot produce shows without volunteers. If you are a past volunteer or interested in becoming a volunteer I encourage you to join us at Narberth Community Theatre and become part of the “family”.
We are excited coming into our new season of “family” run shows. We need community involvement to make the magic. This is due in no small part to the generosity and support through donations, ticket sales, and of course, our very dedicated members and volunteers. If you can’t volunteer, we encourage you to become a sponsor and/or a season ticket holder as well! We encourage everyone that has a love for the theatre, either just coming in or previously involved, to come and join us as we journey into another 60+ years of excellence!
So, be sure to take a tour of our website www.narberthcommunitytheatre.org – you can buy tickets and make donations, learn about NCT’s current and past shows, read Audition Notices, learn how to volunteer, view photos, and meet our board. Also check out our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages. We are a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit organization so your contributions (and we welcome donations in any amount!) are tax deductible.
I hope to see you around the theatre! And now on with the shows…Billy Elliot The Musical(November), The Drowsy Chaperone(March) and Rumors(May).
See you soon!
John Cochrane, Jr
President, Narberth Community Theatre
